White House Initiative on AAPIs Community Conf. Call, Twitter Town Hall

The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders will host a conference call and Twitter town hall on Wednesday, February 20, at 3 p.m. EDT to discuss the Obama administration’s accomplishments on behalf of the AAPI community.

Speakers scheduled to be on the call include:

  • Chris Lu, Cabinet Secretary and Assistant to the President
  • Kiran Ahuja, Executive Director, White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders
  • Rhea Suh, Assistant Secretary for Policy, Budget and Management, Department of Interior

The call will include information on the report “Continuing Progress for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community, Federal Agency Accomplishments” and the launch of an Asian American Pacific Islander Theme Study. There will also be discussion on current and future efforts towards increasing access and participation among AAPIs in federal programs.

The Twitter Town Hall will be open for questions beginning at 3:00 p.m. EDT. Join @WhiteHouseAAPI using the hash tag: #aapiWH.
